Northcote Bowl

So i had a skate round Northcote bowl today. wow. not too big not too small, fast and a few crazy corners thrown in just to keep you guessing, that and the fact it's about 6 years old and still looking and riding great. strangely enough some BMX riders arrived and one of them was talking about travelling round the country building ramps with Convic, pointing at one of the insane corners saying "yeah i don't know what happened there, maybe i didn't pre-load it properly"

i'll be back to get some footage and photos later.

Sunday

Handmade south african Biltong with bread and cheese. Meatballs stuffed with onions and flowering thyme served with grilled garlic, plum tomatoes and rice. For desert, a brick of chocolate melted down to a moose served with fresh mint crystalised in sugar. Not exactly a dogs dinner...sorry Cosmo

Glyph

read the headlines
jump off a cliff
open your parachute
read some hieroglyphs
go out to tender
a nice piece of steak
get a track bike without a front break
learn about the world from the TV screen
learn about washing while in the machine
people i find like grains of sand on the beach
the same, but something different about each
got needles in your haystack?
get your money back
i have a chair near when i go to sleep
guardian spirits sit and guide my dreams
the nothingness i came from
to there i will return
ancestors wisdom borrowed for the earth

Lead

They used to drop lead from this tower, and by the time it hit the ground it had become a perfectly formed bullet. Now the empty factory is encased in a shopping mall.

Cheung

Today i met Grandmaster William Cheung who studied for 10 years with Yip Man. The Grandmaster was solid as a rock and moved too fast for my eyes to see despite being 68 years old. Age defying characteristics and abilities are not unusual among such people, who become stronger and stronger until the day they die. With the principle that such knowledge leads to happier lives and a better world i intend to learn such things. Through strength all things are possible.

Cheung mentioned that my balance was quite good before describing scientific principles behind lightening speed and technique, sadly at this point it looks like i won't be training with the Grandmaster on account of my balance at the Bank.
